DuoSync (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the DuoSync mobile application.
Summary
All data you enter in DuoSync is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on our servers.
Data Collection and Storage
Local Storage Only
DuoSync is designed with privacy in mind. The following data is stored only on your device and is never sent to our servers:
- Your name
- Your partner’s name
- Relationship rating (if provided during onboarding)
- Goals or preferences selected during onboarding
- Last period start date
- Anniversary date and partner’s birthday
- Custom reminders you create
- Notification preferences
- Quick task completion and streak data
- Your confirmation that you have partner consent to track their cycle
This data remains on your phone or tablet. You can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing the app’s data in your device settings.
Delete all data (Secure purge)
in Settings you can use the “Delete all data” to remove everything you’ve entered. Before removing each item, DuoSync overwrites the stored value to make recovery of deleted records more difficult, including with digital forensic tools. For the strongest guarantee, you may also clear the app’s data in your device settings or uninstall the app.
Partner Consent
Before you can enter or track your partner’s cycle information (such as last period date), DuoSync requires you to confirm that you have your partner’s consent to do so. This confirmation is stored locally on your device. You must not use the cycle tracking features without your partner’s knowledge and consent.
Third-Party Services
DuoSync uses the following third-party services that may process limited information:
In-App Purchases (RevenueCat)
When you subscribe to DuoSync, purchases are processed by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android). RevenueCat is used to manage subscription status. RevenueCat may receive:
- A unique, anonymous identifier for your device
- Purchase and subscription status
RevenueCat does not receive your name, your partner’s name, or any other personal information you enter in the app. For more information, see RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.
Apple App Store / Google Play
If you make a purchase, Apple or Google will process your payment and may collect information in accordance with their respective privacy policies. We do not receive or store your payment details.
Push Notifications
If you enable notifications, they are scheduled locally on your device. We do not have access to the content of your personal data stored in the app.
What We Do NOT Do
- We do not collect your personal data on our servers
- We do not sell your data to third parties
- We do not use your data for advertising
- We do not share your data with marketers or data brokers
Data Security
Because your data stays on your device, it is protected by your device’s security (passcode, biometrics, encryption). We recommend keeping your device locked and using a strong passcode.
Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, through the app or app store listing.
